We’re excited to welcome Kelby Moore and Thespian Kimble, joining us from the Houston Health Department’s Re-Entry Program. The HOT Team tackles illegal dumping, easement maintenance, landscaping, and beautification projects across District F. Glad to have them on board!

Just Economy Conference 
Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas joined a powerful panel at the 2025 Just Economy Conference hosted by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition. The conversation emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration—local government, K-12, higher education, and the private sector—in achieving truly equitable and sustainable community and economic development.
Houston Area Urban League President’s Dinner
On March 27, Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas attended the Houston Area Urban League’s Annual President’s Dinner, where leaders from various sectors gathered to honor the organization’s ongoing efforts in empowering the community through education, economic development, and social justice. The event highlighted key achievements in advancing equality and the impactful work the League does for underserved communities in Houston.
Alief Proud Day Parade
On Saturday, March 29, Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas joined the Alief ISD community for the annual Alief Proud Day Parade, celebrating school spirit, student achievement, and the vibrant culture of Alief. Thank you to everyone who showed up in support of our youth and schools!
Vietnam Veterans Day Memorial
Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas joined Council Member Edward Pollard for the Vietnam Veterans Day Memorial Reflection at Club Creek Park. The ceremony honored the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering service of Vietnam War veterans and their families. Thank you to the generations who have served and to reaffirm our city’s commitment to remembering their legacy with dignity and respect.
Black Family Wellness
On Saturday, March 29, Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas joined The Links, Inc. and community leaders at the Black Family Wellness Expo, an impactful event dedicated to promoting health equity and wellness within the Black community.

Organized in collaboration with local health advocates and service providers, the event served as a reminder of the power of community-driven health initiatives and the need for sustained investment in preventive care and culturally competent health services.

Visiting Buddhit Monk @ ANC
On Monday, March 31, Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas had the honor of presenting a certificate of recognition to Venerable Thích Pháp Hòa at the Alief Neighborhood Center.

As the Abbot of Trúc Lâm Monastery in Edmonton, Canada, Venerable Pháp Hòa brought a message of peace, compassion, and mindfulness to local seniors during his visit. His presence offered a moment of reflection and cultural connection, reinforcing the importance of spiritual wellness in our diverse community.

Community Safety Town Hall
On Thursday, Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas joined the International Management District, HPD Westside Commander Clinton, HPD Chief Noé Diaz, and Chief Bashir for a community town hall focused on addressing crime and safety concerns.

Together, they discussed prevention strategies and collaborative efforts to reduce crime and improve safety across District F.

Crimestoppers at Brays Village East
On Thursday, District F staff participated in a Crime Stoppers 0f Houstonpresentation for the Brays Village East community, providing valuable resources and information on how to report various types of crime, from illegal dumping to theft. This session emphasized the importance of community engagement in keeping neighborhoods safe and informed.We encourage residents to stay vigilant and use these resources to help protect our community.
Angela Davis Proclamation at UHD
On Thursday, Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas presented a proclamation to Angela Davis in recognition of her decades-long commitment to activism, social justice, and the advancement of civil rights.

As a trailblazer in the fight for equality, Davis’ work has had a profound impact on communities across the nation. The proclamation honors her tireless dedication to dismantling systemic oppression and inspiring future generations to take action for a more just and equitable world.

Council Member Joins HAUL’s Day of Giving
On April 4, Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas joined the Houston Area Urban League’s (HAUL) Day of Giving alongside HAUL CEO Judson Robinson III, Attorney James Douglas, and former Congressman Craig Washington. The event celebrated HAUL’s 57 years of service and honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Council Member Thomas reaffirmed her support for HAUL’s mission to empower communities through economic opportunity, education, and advocacy. Welcome Home, Francisco Sanchez Jr.
Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas proudly welcomed Francisco Sanchez Jr. back home to Houston following his distinguished service as Associate Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. In this national role, Mr. Sanchez led efforts to help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters—ensuring resources reached those most in need. His commitment to public service continues to inspire, and District F is honored to recognize his leadership and contributions on behalf of our nation.
District F Unveils Two New Utility Box Mini-Murals
Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas is proud to announce the completion of two utility box mini-murals as part of District F’s ongoing neighborhood beautification initiatives. These murals, created in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and Up Art Studios, are the first of four planned for the district.

The murals were painted by talented local artist Caroline Truong, and reflect the diversity and cultural richness of District F. One is located at the intersection of Harwin Dr & Ranchester Dr, and the other at High Star Dr & Cook Rd. Stay tuned for the remaining murals to be unveiled soon!
