We hope you are safe. District F will distribute ice, water, and cleaning supplies on Wednesday. We will let you know more information once it is confirmed.

Be aware of price gouging during the hurricane. Report any suspicious price increases to the Texas Attorney General’s Office at (800) 621-0508 or file a complaint online. H-E-B is open.

More than 1.7 million people are without power. CenterPoint Energyestimated Monday evening that it would restore power to 1 million customers by the end of day on Wednesday, July 10. Many residents are expected to be without power even after Wednesday.

District F is incredibly diverse and necessitates language access. Our office is seeking unpaid volunteers to translate crucial notices in Mandarin, Farsi, Arabic, Vietnamese, Igbo, and Yoruba 2-3 times a month. If you are interested, please fill out this form.

Verizon is waiving call/text/data usage incurred by customers living in Hurricane Beryl-impacted counties from July 8th to 17th. Read more here.

Monday’s garbage and heavy tree waste will be collected on Tuesday, July 9. Storm debris collections will resume. Recycling and yard waste services are suspended.

Today’s heat advisory has heat index values in the three digits. Please drink adequate water, conduct work in the early morning/evening, wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothes, and do not leave children, seniors, or pets unattended.

The City of Houston has opened cooling centers. Call 311 if you need transportation. The Alief Neighborhood Center is closed due to power. Pets are allowed at cooling centers. There will be no food, snacks, or water (besides water fountains). Specifically, near the West:
