Welcome back, everyone! I hope you had an extraordinary Spring Break with quality time with family and friends. I also hope you had the opportunity to rest and prepare for the next two months. We will close one chapter while planning and preparing for the following year. I had the wonderful opportunity to witness the commitment of our Speech and Debate coaches, Elsik, Hastings, Kerr, and Alief Early. Even during Spring Break, they coached and supported our students in state competitions. Congrats to our students and coaches on this fantastic accomplishment!
Congrats to our Elementary Principal of the Year, Zansia Solis, and our secondary Principal of the Year, Cassandra Dyson. This is the fun part of the year, where we recognize and celebrate our retirees, Teachers of the Year, and Principals of the Year. There are still 16 significantly impactful days to support our students in preparing for the upcoming STAAR assessments, and we must use every moment to support student success. Thank you, parents, for your continued support for student learning and for helping by having our students do the following:
- 45 minutes a week of IREADY Reading and iReady Math for elementary and middle school students i-Ready Incentive Spring Break 2025.pdf
- 45 minutes a week of Progress for Learning for Science (5th grade)
- IXL for high school students includes students completing at least 10-15 problems each week
- Khan Academy
All these solutions and applications can be accessed through the Alief ISD HUB.
