Join us on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Hackberry Park in Alief for a community clean-up hosted by AliefVotes and the National Wildlife Federation.

Free tools and snacks will be provided! Open to all ages. Everyone in- and out- of Alief is invited. No RSVP Required.

Our Purpose

The purposes of the International District are to enhance the physical, social and economic well being of the community. The District is empowered to finance projects related to public safety, mobility and transportation, environmental and urban design, and business and economic development.

Our Service Plan

Projects for the first ten years will focus on mobility and transportation, environmental and urban design, public safety, and business development.

Our Projects

The International Management District is undergoing a transformation from being the western extension of Houston’s Chinatown or, as some prefer, Asiatown, to a broader American and international community ideally suited to working, shopping, dining and living. To help bring about this change, the District has several major improvement projects underway or planned to enhance mobility, attractiveness and quality of life in the community.
