Student Spotlight!

AliefVotes volunteered with SEWA International, the Alief Super Neighborhood Council, the Arbor Foundation, and the Texas A&M Forestry Service to help plant an incredible 517 trees in the community. A huge thank-you to these organizations for their commitment to environmental sustainability.

AliefVotes students also attended a pre-law mentorship dinnerwith lawyers Peggy Li, Heaven Chee, Imad Khan, and Robert Landicho, who shared inspiring stories and practical advice for aspiring legal professionals. We are grateful for their support in shaping the next generation of leaders, judges, and elected officials.

Additionally, AliefVotes Fellows hosted a disaster preparedness workshop, distributing over 100 disaster toolkits and 150 attendees to the community in November 2024. The workshop was entirely student-led, with fellows and volunteers working together to support disaster readiness in Alief.
