Dear Key Communicators:
All are invited to participate in the district’s annual Stuff-A-Bus event to assist the Alief ISD Education Foundation’s Uniform Effort Clothing Pantry.
This year’s event is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and is being held on Friday, December 10 in the north parking lot of Crump Stadium, 12321 Alief Clodine Road.
The event will feature performances from student groups of all ages, cheerleaders, school mascots and participation from many of our business and community partners.
Let me tell you a little bit about the clothing pantry. The Uniform Effort Clothing Pantry helps thousands of Pre-K through eighth grade students each year. Thanks to the generous donations received through the Stuff-A-Bus event and throughout the year, qualifying students are able to obtain free school uniforms at the pantry. Let me add that the need for uniforms has indeed increased since the pandemic.
Here are the items that are needed to stuff the bus to help our students:
* New or Gently Used School Clothing
* New or Gently Used Jackets & Sweaters
* New Sealed Packages of Boys & Girls Underwear
* New Sealed Packages of Boys & Girls Socks
We hope to see you Friday and let’s stuff that bus.
HD Chambers
