I realize the last few hours of work before a holiday break are always frenzied so I

will make this short and sweet.

We have all gone through unprecedented challenges since March 2020. All of you, no matter your role in this community, has made sacrifice after sacrifice to continue to support Alief ISD and our quest to provide the best educational, nutritional, healthy and safe education as humanly possible for Alief ISD students.

So, once again enjoy your break. I hope you are able to take the time to reconnect with the special people in your lives. My wish for all of you is that you enjoy this time with family and friends and find that ever-elusive life balance. I realize how hard you work and how hard 2020 and 2021 have been. The Board of Trustees and I also realize how much personal time you give up for our students, this year more than ever. So, enjoy this well-deserved break, you most certainly deserve it.

I also hope we all make time this season to reflect on all of the blessings in our lives. I want each of you to know how extremely grateful I am for the opportunity that I have been given to work with a team as dedicated and devoted as the faculty, staff, students, parents, trustees and community of Alief ISD. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and best wishes for a safe, relaxing, and fulfilling holiday season to you and all your loved ones.

See you in 2022,
