Request for Catering Proposals for Asian Chamber Annual Spirit of Entrepreneurship Awards Dinner
The Asian Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Spirit of Entrepreneurship Awards Dinner on Saturday October 23 at the Lone Star Flight Museum. The dinner provided to our guests that evening will be a representation of upscale Asian cuisine.
We are seeking multiple catering vendors to provide a selection of ethnically and elegantly prepared Asian food, preferably one main course and one accompanying side dish. Food will be placed in stations. Vendor must be able to transport food safely, as well as provide current insurance and current health permits. All cooked items will need to be already made and vendor must provide all commercial equipment. Vendor should also be able to provide all heating and cooling equipment and small wares as needed to serve their items. Vendor must bring their own dollies, carts and holding containers for food.
Staffing requirement: 2 service personnel to serve the meals from your station
To submit a proposal, please provide the following:
- Complete the attached Request for Proposal.
- Please provide Asian menu options (1 entrée, 1 side dish) to feed 250 guests.
- All necessary commercial equipment to cook, serve and hold food – please provide a list & photos
- All necessary small wares (containers, tongs, knives, etc) to cook and hold food – please provide a list & photos
- Vendor must be able to describe food transport process in writing
- Vendor must note any special needs
- Insurance requirements:
- Commercial General Liability Insurance for $1,000,000.00, including blanket contractual liability.
- Commercial Automobile Liability Insurance for owned, non-owned and hired vehicles
- Workers’ Compensation Insurance as required by statute
- Employers’ Liability Insurance
Added Insured for the following entities:
- Asian Chamber of Commerce – Houston
- Lone Star Flight Museum
- Houston Event Planning Inc.

If you’re ready to start selling your products online for the first time, FedEx and AOF have a great opportunity for you. This fall, 150 small business owners from across the country will be selected to join a cohort program that provides coaching and hands-on support for setting up a virtual store, marketing, customer service, order fulfillment, and more. Selected participants will receive:
- Access to a four month, hands-on workshop series hosted by 37 Oaks
- Exclusive access to e-commerce expert coaches
- Fulfillment and shipping support through the 2021 holiday season
- A $2,000 business grant to support e-commerce growth plans
