The International District board of directors held their monthly meeting at the new Alief Center for Advanced Careers located at 12160 Richmond Road. The new facility is state of the art and teaches students many hands on skills such as welding, automotive repair, and culinary arts.

The board considered a number of action items including monthly invoices, public safety report, and updates and enhancements to area esplanades. They also received a presentation from the Chinese Community Center on their Asian Heritage Tours.

The board meets the 4th Thursday of the month though, at times locations change, so stay up to date by visiting IMDHouston.org and look at upcoming meeting schedules.
