HCC held a ribbon cutting August 28 to celebrate the opening of the Alief Construction Technology Center at HCC’s Bissonnet Campus. HCC Northwest will provide an opportunity to develop skills desperately needed for Houston’s growing workforce field. The completion of the 17,220-square-foot workforce building will serve as the hub for students to train and receive certification in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Industrial Electricity, Plumbing, Carpentry and AutoCAD. The skills and knowledge students will obtain relate to engineering principles and technical skills of manufacturing products and industrial processing. The ribbon was cut by HCC’s Chancellor Dr. Cesar Maldonado, Trustee Neeta Sane, Acting Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Dr. Zachary Hodges and Alief ISD Superintendent HD Chambers.
