Houston Salsa Dancers, Inc. is a non-profit organization that rewards annual scholarships to students who are involved in community services or part of a community-based program at school or in their community.
This year, our goal is to celebrate our 10th year anniversary by awarding to deserving students $10,000 in Scholarship Money!
Scholorship Application Deadline: November 1, 2012
The duty of the Scholarship Committee is to promote the scholarship program and encourage students to participate in the application process. If you are not a student but know someone who could benefit from our scholarship program, your help is appreciated in sharing our program with them. Scholarships are awarded at the Houston Salsa Congress and will be made available to the college or university of the student’s choosing. A student must be enrolling or already enrolled in a college institution to receive an award.
Student Eligibility to Include:
- Desire to pursue a higher education
- Demonstrate a financial need towards higher education
- Involved in community service or are a part of a community-based program
- Enrolled or are enrolling in a college or equal higher learning institution during the upcoming 2013 school year
Deadlines:
Online application process begins on May 1st and must be completed by November 1st in order to be considered for the Houston Salsa Dancers Educational Scholarship. Late entries will not be accepted.
