Students from Albright Middle School hosted their annual Speech Festival, welcoming talented participants from Killough, O’Donnell, and Olle Middle Schools for a day filled with creativity, confidence, and communication. Meanwhile, the Olle Middle School Speech and Debate team proudly earned third place out of ten schools at the Fort Bend Austin High School Speech Tournament. Riccah Bautista finished first in senior poetry, senior prose, and vocal solo. Damilola Adeoshun and Riccah Bautista finished first in group lip sync. Faith Guidry finished second in original spoken word poetry. Hailee Depaz, Gabriela Perez, Anh Nguyen, and Chizaram Agbasiele finished second in world schools debate. Delisa Rodriguez finished second in junior poetry. Isabella Rivas finished third in junior poetry. Faith Guidry and Skyla Rogers finished third in group lip sync. Lizandro Ricardo Gongora, Andre Weber, Saddan Mohammad, and Israel Mejia finished third in world schools debate. Faith Guidry and Hailee Depaz finished fourth in duet improvisation. |

Inspiring Future Leaders: Kodi Bailey Visits Alief Cadets |
Alief ISD Education Foundation Vice President Kodi Bailey returned to his roots to share his inspiring journey with our cadets. A proud Alief High School graduate, Bailey spoke about growing up in Alief, serving in the U.S. Air Force, and finding success after military retirement. His uplifting message on opportunity, personal responsibility, and living a fulfilling life deeply resonated with students. He also discussed his book, Letters to Airmen, signing copies, and sharing personal insights. The cadets were so inspired that they invited him to be the guest speaker at their upcoming annual military ball—an invitation he gladly accepted. |

Elsik High School Celebrates 50 Years of Pride and Tradition |
High Star Road was filled with blue and white as the community came together to celebrate 50 years of Elsik pride! The 50th Anniversary Parade was a vibrant reflection of the school’s rich history, school spirit, and strong sense of community. Alumni, students, staff, and families lined the streets to honor decades of school excellence—cheering on the marching band, JROTC, student organizations, and community partners who proudly represented Elsik’s legacy. |

The Annual Holiday Market, held on Saturday, was a festive celebration of student talent and creativity. The event featured beautifully handcrafted pieces—from ornaments and artwork to seasonal decor—all created by students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Fine Arts classes. This collaboration between the two departments provided students with an opportunity to display their craftsmanship, artistic skills, and entrepreneurial spirit. The market was filled with color, creativity, and community pride, offering attendees a wonderful start to the holiday season while highlighting the exceptional work of our Alief ISD students. |
