It’s an exciting time here in Alief ISD. As the school year begins, I think about the nearly 40,000 students who will enter our schools to grow and move closer to realizing their dreams! Our leaders and every professional in our schools who impact the lives of Alief students help bring each student closer to making their dreams come true. The power to positively influence a student’s future is one of my greatest joys as an educator!
I am All In With Alief! That means a continued focus on ongoing improvement and surpassing last year’s achievements. While there are many successes from the past year worth celebrating, we can and will aim higher and accomplish even more! I am excited to have each of you by my side as we work for the students and families of the Alief community.
Remember that our students are counting on us to help them achieve their dreams. Our families and students trust us to pave the way to success. When you step foot in Alief ISD, I encourage you all to be the difference for a colleague, be the difference for our community, be the difference for our families and students. Be all in with Alief ISD!

“Let’s Make It Clear” Backpack Policy
In an effort to improve the safety measures currently in place, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year and beyond, Alief ISD will require all intermediate, middle, and high school students to use clear backpacks.
Students participating in an extracurricular activity are permitted to carry non-transparent bags to store items pertaining to their particular activity (i.e., band, athletics, etc.).
All extracurricular activity bags must be stored in designated areas upon entry into the school and are subject to search.
Additionally, the maximum size for non-transparent bags that students in intermediate, middle, and high school will be permitted to carry during the school day, such as lunch kits, pencil bags, and purses, will be “6 x 9”.
Elementary school students will be allowed to continue using traditional backpacks.
