I hope that everyone was able to enjoy the Super Bowl weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Eagles destroy Kansas City. The efforts of the Philadelphia Eagles team were admirable. The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, played true to his character, playing hard to the end of the game. The Eagles were dialed in from the beginning and focused on winning as a team. I thought about Team Alief as I watched the game, and the words of the Eagles coach Nick Sirianni resonated with me: “You can’t be great without the greatness of others.” If you had time to watch the Super Bowl, I hope you were as inspired as I was.
Take care of your teammates wherever you are! Lift one another up and encourage each other as we work hard to serve our students and community. Much like football, our students’ education is a total team effort. Pay attention to one another. If you see a team member getting tired, offer them a kind and encouraging word to help them stay focused so that Alief ISD can win the championship like the Philadelphia Eagles did, and as you work hard, remember the coach’s words- “You can’t be great without the greatness of others.”
