This past week we had a significant weather scare and I know that many of you were adversely impacted. I am happy to see most of you are safe, well, and able to return to Alief ISD. My positive thoughts are with everyone working to navigate damages or challenges that are lingering. Please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can support you through this challenging time.

We have a few more days left before we close out the school year with several celebrations and graduations. I want to remind us all to remain diligent about our safety process and procedures. Student safety is paramount as we close out the year. Let’s remain visible and actively monitor parking lots, building entries, and exits. For all of our guests, remember to use the front entry to gain building access. I appreciate everyone working together to keep our campuses safe.

Please see our graduation schedule below. I look forward to celebrating this huge milestone in the lives of our students!

Celebrations

Congratulations to our FACE Academy graduates who have completed a total of six credits! These parents have committed to completing programs offered at the Alief Family Centers and/or attending numerous FACE events. These accomplishments not only help them become better parents, but also improve them as individuals. View graduation photos here.

Hats off to our Liaison of the Year, Tomeka Robinson at Youngblood Middle School, and Rookie of the Year, Jescekia Sam at Best Elementary! Their exceptional dedication brings boundless energy to our Alief ISD families.

Congratulations to Katelyn Bustamante from Holub Middle School! This is her second year as a TMEA Region 23 Middle School/Junior High All-Region Choir Soprano I. Her upbeat happy personality shows in her singing and she brings joy to all who hears her. Katelyn is a very hard working student and singer who always strives for excellence.
