Event provides bid opportunities, networking; registration deadline is Dec. 8

The Office of Business Opportunity invites the small business community to its annual Meet the Buyer Procurement Forum (MTB), held virtually for the first time, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Registration, which closes on Tuesday, Dec. 8, is free and open to the public.

The event, held in partnership with the City’s Houston Airport System, Houston Public Works and General Services, provides an opportunity for small businesses to connect and network with City procurement agents as well as other governmental agencies and prime contractors.

There will also be an exhibitor fair, interactive workshops dedicated to help small businesses navigate governmental procurement processes, information about the latest City projects, and access to resources provided by business support organizations. Fifty vendors are slated to attend this year.

Attendees can also expect:

  • Dedicated networking opportunities with small businesses by industry
  • Procurement success stories panel
  • One-on-One sessions with procurement agents
  • Conversations with City prime contractors
  • Listing of current bidding opportunities
