Let’s Talk Tea — and ‘Bear-y’ Cute Toppings — at IMD’s TeaTalk

On social media from the other side of the planet, TeaTalk Vietnam recently boasted about a “new masterpiece” that had just landed at the tea room located in Biên Hòa.

Well, we’re here to “spill the tea” on this “bear-y” cute creation.

The jelly teddy bear drink topping in milk tea and taro flavors was first and immediately a sensation on social media some 9,000 miles away from Vietnam right here in the International District at the Houston TeaTalk location.

It’s the newest surprise among many from TeaTalk Houston since it came under new management earlier this spring.

A grand opening in June revealed a newly renovated cafe, making clear that the teddy bear toppings aren’t the only Instagrammable feature at TeaTalk Houston. Swinging basket chairs, gorgeous greenery and a cute, social-distancing friendly outdoor area all lend themselves to social media snaps.

And the food is as unique as the setting.

Try the adorable Lazy Pig dessert for a special treat or the Yakult (sweetened probiotic milk) green tea topped off with aloe vera. Or, maybe winter melon tea with grass jelly is your, well, cup of tea.

Or how about homemade flan as a topping — yes, topping — for your drink?

Want to pick up something for later? TeaTalk is offering bottled milk tea for you to take home and store in your fridge.

Don’t miss out on some of TeaTalk’s tempting Vietnamese food items such as Crab Thick Noodle (Bánh Canh Cua) or fried rice flour cake (Bột Chiên).

Need a quick snack? Grab some of the fresh strawberries with shrimp salt.

Back to the tea, TeaTalk is always adding new additions to the menu like Golden Cheese Foam Brown Sugar Milk Tea. The Golden Cheese foam is infused with Salted Egg Yolk.
