Professional Hispanic Organization, Asian Chamber, Houston Minority Supplier Development Council and National Minority Contractors Association. 4:30 pm reception; 5:30 pm candidates introduction.

Tuesday, October 25– 7 pm – Asia Society Texas Center, 1370 Southmore – Asian American Civic Engagement
Join panelists Christine Chen, Executive Director of APIAVote, Vinh Ho, Managing Attorney for the Civil Practice Clinics at Houston College of Law, and Mustafa Tameez, Founder and Managing Director of Outreach Strategists LLC, as they explore the benefits of and avenues for the social empowerment of Asian Americans. KTRK-TV Channel 13’s Miya Shay will moderate the program.

Asian Americans are the fastest growing group in the United States, and by 2040, the Asian American and Pacific Islander electorate will likely double to more than 12 million eligible voters.
